Curator’s Note

The composition follows the formal structure of Jan van Eyck's Arnolfini Portrait (1434): two principal figures face the viewer, joined hands at center, in an interior space whose details carry heraldic and contractual significance. The chandelier has been replaced by a suspended Microsoft Azure logo; the convex mirror in the background reflects, in miniature, a room full of lawyers. The dog, present in the original, has been omitted.
