Curator’s Note

One thousand corporate logos, printed at 15 × 15 cm each on brushed aluminum panels, are arranged in a grid across the south wall of Gallery 4. The central position — corresponding to the apse position in a basilica mosaic — is occupied by the logo of the company holding the highest global market capitalization on the first Monday of each month. On the date of acquisition, this was Apple Inc. The position has since changed four times.
