Curator’s Note
The painting translates a social graph of 10,000 LinkedIn profiles — drawn from the 700 million records exposed in the June 2021 scraping incident — into the visual language of 19th-century colonial cartography. Node density corresponds to geographic clustering; connection-weight determines road width; professional title determines elevation. The map has a title cartouche in the style of Mercator. The data it depicts remains publicly accessible.
